Meet the crew of Squilly Ink.

Squilly

Sara-Lily Cameron, founder of Squilly Ink, has been tattooing for seven years, with the last three years being in her private studio in Auckland. You may have seen Squilly on TikTok tattooing her own palm, or on Instagram sharing her recent flash.

Squilly has recruited talented local artist Erin Markovina as her tattoo apprentice.

Squilly’s humble beginnings were as an apprentice under dynamic duo Sophie Priest & Bai Zhao, owners of Good Fortune Tattoo Co. in Epsom, Auckland.

Squilly specialises in neotraditional tattoos for baddies, in both colour and black & grey. Squilly takes classic American Traditional styles, and adds her own modern twist. She is inspired by both Renaissance and modern artists.

Erin

Erin Markovina started her tattoo apprenticeship in February 2022. The first year of her apprenticeship was centred around building a solid foundation of tattoo styles and culture, as well as drawing, drawing, drawing! She is currently tattooing her own flash tattoos and working hard at graduating from tattoo apprentice to tattoo artist.

Erin has been an artist most of her life, finding solace and freedom in her art and getting tattoos. She is inspired by Chicano tattooing, fine line-work and dot-work tattoos.

Erin has been making incredible progress with her tattooing and flash, you can check out her flash and book a tattoo with her on her instagram.
